Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Market President is responsible for all market activities including development and maintenance of the agricultural, commercial, and consumer loan portfolio; development of core deposit growth; oversight of daily market operations; and representation of the bank at community functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct market activities, including lending and deposit relationships, with an emphasis on total banking relationship
  • Ensure maintenance of proper market staffing, operations, compliance, and security
  • Provide leadership, management, and coaching of market staff to achieve desired results
  • Call on market customers and potential customers to enhance and build banking relationships
  • Serve as lead market lender, and in compliance with established lending policy, responsible for
    • Interviewing applicants
    • Underwriting loans
    • Collecting and analyzing financial data to determine creditworthiness
    • Establishing and negotiating terms of extensions of credit
    • Ensuring loan agreements are complete and accurate
    • Monitoring loan repayment activity
    • Working problem or delinquent loans through collection process
    • Promoting and cross-selling other banking products
  • Provide input regarding Bank policies and procedures
  • Responsible for promotion of core deposit growth
  • Responsible for attracting new business, as well as building and maintaining relationships with existing customers
  • Represent the bank and foster community relationships through membership and participation in various community organizations and events



  • Bachelor's degree

Knowledge and Experience

  • Five or more years of demonstrated successful leadership and management experience
  • Five or more years of demonstrated successful agricultural and small business lending experience
  • Proven business development experience
